FORWARD FAMILY

This is one of my most favorite heritage pages and Aimee Harrison's template made it so easy!! The close grouping of photo spaces and the layered paper blocks were perfect for these photos of my grandparents and their family. And then the large white space was perfect for my journaling. The only thing I will probably change is the journaling font as it is a bit difficult to read.
FORWARD FAMILY - My grandparents, Glenn and Ann Forward were married 16 June 1918 and raised their seven children: Mildred, Maxine, Jean, Dula, Charles, Wayne and JoAnn, on a farm southeast of Hugoton Kansas. Later, when their youngest was in high school and the other kids had left home, they moved to a home in town. There they lived until they passed away - Glenn in 1981 and Ann in 1985. Glenn was a farmer but also a mechanic and craftsman. He could fix any broken thing. Ann was a great cook and a lover of all flowers. Her rose gardens were award winning. She also loved family history and kept wonderful scrapbooks of photos and clipped newspaper articles of her family and friends. Glenn and Ann attended the Methodist church and were active, lifetime members of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars). They were loved and respected by all. Much of their family still call Hugoton “home.”
(NOTE: I worked on this page all day and only after it was finished and I was posting it to Facebook did I realize that today was their 99th wedding anniversary. What a great experience it was to have them on my mind all day on this very special day.)
